The philosophies I use while cooking and creating:
What you’ll soon discover about my recipes and food creations is that I like to take inspiration from different sources and apply a unique twist that caters to my own preferences. I recommend you do the same!
We all have different palates. For example, things I do not like:
- bananas (unless they are baked in something)
- potatoes (although, sweet ones I do enjoy)
- cheesecake (believe it or not).
Another thing that you will soon realize is that I like to make as many things homemade as possible. That way, I can optimize the quality of ingredients that I’m using to create meals. I regularly make bagels, bread, buns, pasta, condiments (ketchup, hummus, etc.), dressings, granola/cereal, and so on. These recipes and more are soon to come!
Lastly, I think the best way to balance your meals is through variety. As someone that sticks to a fairly regular daily/weekly routine, the kitchen is an outlet for me to be creative. I also think that variety is the best way to get all the nutrients that I need to fuel myself with.
So what you can expect?
Expect to find food creations that are inspired by various people, cultures, and places.
And what’s my best advice?
Don’t take the recipes that I post religiously. Switch them up, experiment and make them your own with ingredients that you enjoy! I think that the best way to become a good home cook is by not being afraid to try new things and get creative. And of course, if you do find a great new combination, please let me know how you adapted the recipe. I would love to share your creations!
